What We've Done

I know that I haven't been too pushy on doing things for the past few months, but we have had some volunteers do great things.

Kathy Knetter donated $40 to double my amount of $40 of craft item sales at my annual rubber rummage. i donated this in August.

In October, I also donated a small amount from my annual stamp camp in honor of a child who's family used the Ronald McDonald House as a safe haven when she needed them. I am planning another event in May, with hopefully more turnout and a higher donation.

Lori Lang's stampers make cards monthly to donate, plus she made great notepads with gorgeous covers to donate in October.

In November and December, we donated cards. I sent in Christmas cards and Gloria sent in Thanksgiving cards that were requested by the Marshfield RMHC.

We have a small house to work with--not big enough for events, but big enough for treats. I continue to want to have a monthly donation of handstamped items that would brighten the day of anyone walking in. When I stayed at the Milwaukee RMHC, we always smiled at the handmade items in a basket in the kitchen. It brightened our day that there was support from strangers. So, if you are interested in participating, please contact me so I can track our success. Simply choose a month, make 10 -20 items to donate, and drop them off (or mail them like I do). You can use items from a stamp camp or class or something special. We have openings in May, June, July, and August!

Also, the new wish list is out for what the house needs. If you or your stamp group would like to donate, just let me know to warn the house director and we can make it happen!
